In our company, the execution and commissioning phases of our laboratory projects (SIA 52/53) are usually handled by our specialised site managers. Therefore, the other employees do not yet have such a deep knowledge of what needs to be done in these phases, or what needs to be paid special attention to in these phases.

But this should now be changed. For this reason, our specialists prepared an instructive training course. Since the new building of the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute in Allschwil is currently in the final stages of construction, the ideal object for demonstration was quickly found.

So the laboratory planners, thirsty for knowledge, went to Allschwil on Wednesday, 25.08.2021, looking forward to an exciting and instructive afternoon. In two blocks of 1.5 hours each, they were introduced to the most important tips and tricks to be observed on the construction site. And they were shown what needs to be taken into account in the preliminary planning.

Afterwards, with a knowledge backpack that was once again a bit fuller, the participants headed to Basel, where they spent the evening in the restaurant VITO.
