University of Zürich-Irchel, 5th stage (UZI 5), Zürich Switzerland
The 5th extension stage of the University of Zürich-Irchel includes two laboratory buildings, which are connected to the existing structures. The main purpose of the new building is to house the chemical research of the UZH, as well as laboratories for biology BSL1 &2, high pressure research, radiochemistry B, laser laboratories, X-ray structure analysis, mass spectroscopy, NMR and others.

HIGHLIGHTS
746 fume cupboards are installed throughout the complex. The radiochemistry fume cupboards have 2-fold air filter systems with support fans. Several fume cupboard-scrubber combinations were installed.
